First South Africa – Germany Bonding Workshop 2009

This workshop will raise awareness for industrial adhesive bonding technology and the need for workforce training in this area. The 2-day conference with South African and international speakers is organised and headed by the Fraunhofer IFAM. Fundamental prospects of adhesive bonding technology will be highlighted and trends of this key technology and higher advantages of adhesive bonding compared to other joining technologies will be presented. Topics will include: application of adhesives; basic principles of structural bonding; specific application fields for reactive adhesives; adhesive bonding in automotive construction; adhesive bondings in rail vehicles; adhesive bonding in aviation industry and workforce qualification.
