New Institute for Innovation Policy

The Chairman of TNO in the Netherlands, the President of VTT in Finland and the Managing Director of Joanneum Research in Austria have signed a letter of intent to establish the Joint Institute for Innovation Policy (JIIP).

JIIP will focus on international aspects in the analysis of the future of technology, innovation and society, on monitoring and assessing the impact of research, development and innovation strategies and policies, and will build on the deep knowledge of technologies and sectors with the parent organisations have. The joint development of projects will be focused on globalisation of industrial R&D and its impact, positioning and assessments of RTOs in changing innovation systems and the development and impact assessment of EU innovation policies.
